N. Chandrababu Naidu introduced a credit programme for rural women in the state who want to build their own enterprises.
Through the Pattabhi Sitaramayya-Self Business Group (PS-SBG) initiative of Andhra Bank, the bank will provide working capital and term loans totaling up to Rs. 25 lakh to the group or to an individual within the group.
The initiative was introduced to mark the 138th birthday of the bank’s founder, Dr. Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramayya, as well as the nation’s SHG bank linkage program’s silver anniversary.
The programme will first be available in two Telangana districts and seven Andhra Pradesh districts. To Know Information follow TDP Latest News.
Nara Chandrababu Naidu claimed the following at the time: “This concept for a “Self Help Group” was mine. For the welfare of women folk, I wanted to introduce the Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas (DWCRA) programme system. The idea of SHGs involves the least amount of interference from the government, which worked out well.”You can find more about Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s Contribution to Andhra Pradesh in our website.
“The proposal by Andhra Bank to convert SHGs to SBGs is incredibly creative. I commend the bank’s upper management for this fantastic idea. The bank is offering a loan sum of Rs. 25 lakh without requiring any security, so one can use it and develop into a successful entrepreneur, he said.
Andhra Pradesh is the only state government that provides Rs. 10,000 to every woman in the DWCRA and SHG groups,Nara Chandrababu Naidu continued, praising the state administration. Every woman should make at least Rs. 10,000 each month, in my opinion.
